The repair work on the 84-inch water main on University Road has been completed, and the water supply restored. Following instructions from Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) CEO, Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, engineers and staff of the corporation completed the repair work 24 hour basis.
According to a spokesperson, the main line experienced consecutive two bursts, which were fully repaired. During the repairs, the pipes were also thoroughly cleaned. Following the completion of the work, water supply from the Dhabeji pumping station was resumed, and the lines were recharged. KW&SC spokesperson stated that this repair work was crucial to ensure uninterrupted water supply to the city, and the work has now been fully restored, ensuring smooth water distribution in the area.
