A delegation of 41 members of 34th batch of the Senior Management Course (SMC) made an insightful visit to the Central Police Office Karachi. Under the leadership of SMC’s Director Staff Javed Zia, the delegation had the privilege of meeting Inspector General of Police Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja.
During the meeting, a dynamic exchange of information and suggestions took place, covering crucial aspects such as the impact of people-friendly policing on society, anti-terrorism measures, and strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of police operational and investigative responsibilities.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by AIGP Admin upon their arrival. The DIGP Headquarters CPO provided a comprehensive overview, acquainting the participants with the various departments and initiatives of the Sindh Police.
Inspector General of Police Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja shared insights into ongoing initiatives for people-friendly policing, emphasizing the installation of CCTV cameras at police stations for closer monitoring and prompt complaint resolution.
Inspector General of Police Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja. highlighted the Safe City project under the Sindh government, exploring comprehensive solutions to combat crimes. Additionally, the strategic appointment of police officers with a strong reputation in key positions is being ensured.
Further, Inspector General of Police Sindh, Riffat Mukhtar Raja. outlined steps taken to improve operational and investigative duties, including aligning training programs with modern requirements, introducing specialized courses for police officers and youths, and facilitating training from the School of Finance and Information Technology. The meeting concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields between Sindh Police and NIM. Expressing gratitude, the participants of the Senior Management Course thanked Sindh Police for the enriching session. On this occassion all AIsGP posted in CPO, including DIsGP, Establishment,PD IT, were present.
