285 new cases of corona detected in Sindh

Fortunately no death stemming from Coronavirus reported on Saturday. However 285 new cases emerged when 14,914 tests were conducted.

This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here from CM House on Wednesday. Mr Shah said that fortunately no death was reported on Saturday.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah  added that till last Tuesday the number death and was 7,666. Mr. Shah said that 14,914 samples were tested which detected 285 cases that constituted 1.9 percent current detection rate.

He added that so far 7,102,481 tests have been conducted against which 479,926 cases were diagnosed, of them 97.3 percent or 467,365 patients have recovered, including 425 overnight.

The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah  said that currently 5,180 patients were under treatment, of them 5,004 were in home isolation, 37 at isolation centers and 139 at different hospitals. He added that the condition of 137 patients was stated to be critical, including 20 shifted to ventilators.

According to the statement, out of 285 new cases, 154 have been detected from Karachi, including 60 from East, 54 South, 18 Korangi, 10 Central, Malir eight and West four.

ShaheedBenazirabad 18, Jamshoro , Tando Muhammad Khan and Thatta 12 each, Naushero Feroze nine, Kashmore, Mirpurkhas and Shikarpur eight each, Matiari seven, Ghotki six, Dadu and Sukkur five each, Jacobabad four, Sujawal and Tando Allahyar three each, Badin, Hyderabad and Tharparkar two each.

Vaccination: Sharing vaccination data the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah  said that 28,671,013 vaccinations have been administered upto December 27th, and added during the last 24 hours 163,398 vaccines were inoculated – in total 28,839,411 vaccines have administered which constituted 52.30 percent of the vaccine eligible population. The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah  urged people of the province to follow SOPs.
