28 killed as passenger bus fell into deep ravine in Washuk

QUETTA –  At least 28 people including women and children were killed and 20 others injured when a passenger bus fell into a deep ravine in District Washuk on Wednesday.

The injured have been shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

According to AC (Assistant Commissioner) Basima Ismail Mengal, 20 people, including women and children, were injured when a passenger bus fell into a deep ravine. After the accident, the injured and the deceased were moved to Civil Hospital Basima.

The Levies officials stated that the bus had 48 people on board, including the driver and two conductors.

After providing medical aid, they would be transferred to Quetta for further treatment. The bodies are kept in Civil Hospital Basima for identification.

According to AC Basima Ismail Mengal, the passenger bus traveling from Turbat to Quetta met with the accident due to high speed.

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives due to the bus falling into a ravine near Washuk while traveling from Turbat to Quetta.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that he was deeply saddened and shocked by the loss of lives in the tragic accident and shared the grief of the families of the deceased.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
