Provincial Minister for Energy, Development, and Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, has revealed plans to inject 1320MW of electricity into the National Grid upon the completion of the initial phase of the Tharcoal Block one project. This announcement was made during a meeting held on Saturday at the Sindh Energy Department office.
In attendance were CEO of Shanghai Power, Meng Donghai, CEO-SSRC Jain, along with Secretary of Energy Department Sindh, Kazim Jatoi, and other senior officials. Minister Shah emphasized the significance of the 2300MW Tharcoal Block One Power Generation Project in addressing the nation’s energy needs. Assuring the delegation of unwavering support, Shah pledged to swiftly address any obstacles hindering the project’s progress.
He reaffirmed the Sindh government’s commitment to facilitating the project’s completion at the earliest. Furthermore, Minister Shah stressed the importance of prioritizing the welfare of local communities involved in the project, urging the delegation to provide them with necessary support and facilities.
Highlighting the project’s national importance, Shah underscored the Sindh government’s dedication to public welfare initiatives, aligning with the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He emphasized the rapid progress being made in various sectors, including solarization and energy projects, under Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s guidance.
