Authorities continue their crackdown on traders. Over Rs 10 lac in fines were levied on 176 vendors found violating pricing regulations on Wednesday. Commissioner Karachi, Muhammad Salim Rajput, personally oversees the initiative, instructing officials to rigorously enforce government-set prices in all areas.
In the past 15 days alone, fines totaling over Rs 2 crore were collected from 2496 traders for flouting official rates. The crackdown resulted in 27 shops being sealed for price violations.
