A youth was shot and killed by five accused over an old rivalry. According to the police, on Sunday night Muhammad Noman along with his father, Zafar Iqbal and brother, Muhammad Ramzan was on the way home in Mianapura Mashraqi, in the limits of the Hajipura police station, when five persons namely, Muhammad Ashraf, his three sons Chand, Maani and Zafar alias Zafra and Zafra’s son, Junaid opened firing at him.
Resultantly, Noman who sustained fatal injuries died at the spot whereas the accused persons managed to flee from the spot. It is told that earlier in the evening the deceased had exchanged hot words with the accused over a clash regarding the sale and purchase of scrape.
