The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) sealed 41 illegal commercial buildings and premises that defaulted on commercialisation fees in LDA-controlled areas and various housing schemes on Wednesday.
LDA’s Town Planning Wing sealed 10 buildings on G T Road, 15 in Mustafa Town, and 16 in Gulberg and Model Town Extension during operations against illegal commercial use and nonpayment of commercialisation fees.
The sealed premises include Yasir Broast, Fri-Chicks, Pizza Online, Supreme Foam Flagship Store, pharmacy, private banks, private schools, grocery stores, food points, offices, and other businesses.
LDA Chief Town Planner I, Assad-uz-Zaman, supervised the operations carried out by the enforcement teams, assisted by the Police.
According to the LDA officials, several notices were served on the owners of these buildings before the operations were carried out.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed the continuation of indiscriminate operations against violations of bylaws, illegal commercial buildings and non-payment of commercialisation fees in housing schemes and LDA-controlled areas.
