Lahore tops the rankings of the world’s most polluted cities, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching a hazardous level of 368 on Wednesday.
According to data collected from the IQ Air website on Wednesday at 2:30 pm, Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) is in second place with an AQI of 332 (hazardous), followed by Delhi, India, with an AQI of 228 (very unhealthy).
Dubai (United Arab Emirates) ranked fourth with an AQI of 225 (very unhealthy), followed by Shanghai (China) with an AQI of 189 (unhealthy).
Kuwait City (Kuwait) and Wuhan (China) ranked sixth and seventh with an AQI of 185 (unhealthy), closely followed by Kolkata (India) with an AQI of 184 (unhealthy).
Baghdad (Iraq) is ranked ninth with an AQI of 179 (unhealthy), closely followed by Hangzhou (China) with an AQI of 178 (unhealthy).
AQI of the two top cities (Lahore, Sarajevo) is hazardous, that of the third and fourth (Delhi, Dubai) is very unhealthy, and that of the fifth to 20th cities is unhealthy.
