ISLAMABAD – Gold prices in Pakistan on Wednesday recorded an increase while the silver has surged to historic high amid rising demand for the commodity.

The gold price in Pakistan surged by Rs2,700 to climb to Rs453,562 while the 10-gram is being sold for Rs388,856 after an increase of Rs2,315.

The price of the precious metal in international market plunged by $27, with new rate hovering at $4,312 per ounce.
