In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Molvi Bashir Irfani has said that the word democracy is a mask on the true face of India behind which it is constantly deceiving the world by hiding its cruel imperialist face.
Molvi Bashir Irfani in a statement in connection with India’s Republic Day, January 26, said 76 years ago, the Indian forces, in flagrant violation of international law and humanitarian principles, illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He deplored that the Indian troops were committing the worst kind of state terrorism in the occupied territory to maintain their illegal occupation. Lakhs of Kashmiris were martyred by Indian forces, hundreds of youth, children and women lost their sight due to Indian pellet guns, he added.
Molvi Bashir Irfani said that lakhs of Kashmiris were martyred by Indian forces and hundreds of youth, children and women lost their sight due to Indian pellet guns. Thousands of Hurriyat leaders, including women, have been languishing in different jails of India and the territory, he lamented
The APHC leader said India’s continued violence and brutal repression and attempts to change the Muslim majority territory into a minority have exposed the real face of the Hindutva BJP and RSS government to the world.
He said despite facing the worst form of Indian state terrorism, the people of the territory have shown extraordinary courage and bravery and proved that their will could not be broken by the use of brute force.
He requested all humanitarian circles and Kashmiris abroad to observe January 26 as Black Day to show India’s true face to the world and also appealed to the international community to take notice of the serious and worst violations of human and democratic rights by India in IIOJK.—KMS
