LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly cold and dry weather for Lahore and most parts of Punjab during the next two days.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of the country.
A shallow westerly wave is present over northwest Balochistan.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected across Punjab on Tuesday night and the next two days.
Smog/fog is likely to prevail in Narowal, Sialkot, Okara, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khanewal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Rahim yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding areas during morning and night hours.
Moderate to dense fog/smog is likely to disturb vehicular flow on portions of Motorway (Peshawar-Swabi, Pindi Bhattian-Lahore, Kallar Kahar-Pindi Bhattian, Lahore-Abdul Hakim, Sialkot-Lahore, Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad, Faisalabad-Multan and Multan-Sukkur) and National Highway.
In Lahore, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 09-11 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most districts of the province during the last 24 hours.
Murree remained the coldest place in the province where mercury dropped to 02 C.
Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 63 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 10 C.
