According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak monsoon currents are penetrating upper and eastern parts of country. A westerly wave is also affecting northern parts of the country.

However, scattered rains and gusty winds are likely in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Talagang, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha, Khushab, Layyah, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Faisalabad, Multan, D.G.Khan, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore and Sheikhupura. Isolated heavy downpours are also likely during the forecast period.

Daytime temperatures in Lahore are expected to remain between 35°C and 37°C on Thursday and Friday.

Over the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed in Lahore and most parts of Punjab. However, scattered rains occurred in Islamabad, Pothohar region and northeast Punjab.
