WB team visits various parts of Manchhar lake

A team of World Bank comprising on 14 members have visited the various parts of Manchhar lake, MNVD-Main Nara Valley Drain.
The Team was led by Michael Haney, Practice Manager Water, World Bank headquarter Washington D.C. Dr. Greg Browder, lead water and sanitation specialist, World Bank headquarter Washington D.C. Dr Lucy Lytton, senior ground water specialist World Bank headquarter. Lixin Gu, Program leader, SD World Bank Islamabad. Toru Konishi, World Bank tasked team leader for ongoing Sindh Water Sector Improvement Project (WSIP) and Sindh barrages improvement program (SBIP).
Team of World Bank visited RD-Reduce Distance 62 of Manchhar lake, Band Manchhar, Zero point and MNVD-Main Nara Valley Drain. Team members visited the market of fish at Band Manchhar near Bubak.
Team members received information from irrigation officers related with rehabilitation of Manchhar lake, contaminated water of Manchhar lake in detail.
Before this, SE-Superintendent Engineer irrigation department Dadu, Sajid Ali Bhutto briefed the World Bank team about historical filling sources of water of Manchhar lake like hill torrents water, Nai Gaaj Nullah, MNVD and other sources, those supplies water the Manchhar Lake and fills water.
