An earnest appeal to PM
This earnest appeal is being made to Prime Minister Imran Khan who is the Chief Executive of the country with due sincerity. The PM as well as the Chief Minister, Federal and Provincial Ministers and the Special Assistants and Media Advisors all are earnestly urged through these few lines to stop talking about NRO and the opposition parties and their leaders every now and then as all this is proving unproductive. People know much more about them .
The PM, Federal and Provincial Ministers and Media Advisors have lot to tell the people about what welfare and well-being measures are being taken by the federal and provincial governments besides the positive moves being made to improve national economy and to better friendly relations of motherland Pakistan with foreign countries in greater national interests.
The worthy PM should remember that he is the Chief Executive whose once uttered word is enough and if such words are repeated frequently, they lose their impact and meanings. Those at the helm of affairs, duly elected, are also requested to treat the print and electronic media equally without giving preference to electronic media only because its being an audio-visual medium.
The PM has been giving interviews to TV channels exclusively every now and then. This scribe does not remember that PM has so far given such an exclusive interview to any Urdu or English newspaper of the country. This is not good at all. Because of unnecessary and avoidable emphasis on the NRO, opposition parties and their leaders, people have even started thinking and talking about the federal and provincial governments have nothing to tell them as to what good is being done for them at the national and provincial levels.

Corona via depression!
England is estimated to have six crore population and deaths through Corona-virus were 340 on November 21, 2020. Whereas; Pakistan’s population is 22-crore and deaths were 42 on the same day. What about other diseases and deaths, no mention? Question arises Corona is the only disease on earth at present or it is being used for spreading depression for breaking down immunity/resistance against diseases(?)
My son was caught by so-called Covid-19. Being father (68+) and trusty on Allah decided to remain close to him till recovery. So, I shifted him in my room and lived together by taking care in: eating; drinking; clothing till (-). Our advisors on one hand are kissing dogs-and-cats and on the other side advising for remaining away from human beings and even discoursing for participation in funerals!!
Humanity was/is in grip of diseases like Covid-19 since shifting of Adam (AW) on earth. Diseases change shape/name from time to time due to many reasons: manufacturing and utilization of arms up to “atomic bomb”; depression and adulteration is (also) creator of all diseases. The difference between past/present was/is immunity-system, living style (***)!!
Instead of spreading fear about Covid-19; precautions are needed for keeping immunity strong. Another serious comedy going on is that deaths with other disease: heart-attack; cancer; typhoid… are blocked for publication. Why (??) It means that it is a well-planned (Plan) for spreading diseases through depression also!! According to SOPs of Islam sanitizer/distance is not solution for saving of life. Muslims (almost) remain clean and death can’t be controlled by keeping distance from others. Enemies-of-living-beings are advising for not gathering (even) in Masjid – cleanliest and depression-free place on earth. In addition to others, every disease could be (best) controlled by – Namaz; inhaling Allah and exhaling Hoo… – instead of masking/sanitizing mouth; nose and hands. Note it please!!

Protests and Corona Virus
The Corona test was declared mandatory for the people to participate in the engagement ceremony of Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, but on the other hand, mass sit ins and protests are being called by the PPP against the incumbent government. No one is asked to follow the SOPs before being part of these large scale protests.
This will cause the spike in Coronavirus cases to new levels. With thousands of cases being reported on a daily basis, Pakistan has now 52,359 active cases with 3,001 patients in hospitals and 337 on ventilators. The electorates need to realize about the life of their voters. People, on the other hand, should realize that their lives matter the most and not the participation and chanting slogans in these protests.

Poverty: A social curse
Lack of food, shelter, clothing, clean water, nutrition, healthcare, education etc is called poverty which is caused by poor governance. In Pakistan, majority of the people lack awareness and they don’t know the reasons of poverty and even don’t bother to find out the reasons of this social curse. Rich is getting richer and poor is getting poorer because of the system of feudalism, corruption, political instability, population explosion and inefficiency in the collection of taxes.
According to Global Multidimensional Poverty Index Report (2019), 38% of population lives below poverty line. According to HDI report (2020), Pakistan ranked at 150th on HDI that measures progress in three basic dimensions of human development i.e. long and healthy life, access to knowledge and decent living standard. Additionally, according to the report by Ministry of Planning and Development, about 55 million Pakistanis live below poverty line. Furthermore, the Coronavirus pandemic has also contributed to the poverty. How can we reduce this social curse in our society? What should be the role of government? What should be the role of an individual as a common citizen of Pakistan? Government should provide free primary education and bring economic reforms in terms of trade deficit to increase the GDP of the country. Merit-based recruitment should be strictly followed.
The authorities should provide required resources to the needy ones which include food, shelter and clothing. Elected representatives should give priority to the implementation of programs and policies. It shouldn’t be high on paper work and low in terms of performance. As an individual, a common citizen should be aware of everything and should get higher education. Policies should be formulated at the provincial and district levels to eradicate the causes of poverty because it results in starvation, homelessness, violence, unemployment, health issues, malnutrition, child labour, suicides, anxiety and increase in crimes.
