Signs of lung cancer
Patients with lung cancer, especially those in an advanced stage, often manifest the symptom of fever. This is usually due to infection (including those associated with neutropenic fever due to radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy), followed by tumour fever induced by tumor progression or high tumor burden. Neutropenic fever is a fever while a patient is neutropenic, having lower than normal number of neutrophils (a type of white blood cells).
Anxiety and depression due to cancer can result in psychogenic (stress-related) fever. A patient with lung cancer may wake up drenched in sweat. One of the causes could be cancer caused by fever which makes your body sweat excessively to cool down. Dry cough (without mucus) of more than three weeks may indicate lung cancer. Lung cancer cough usually starts as a dry cough that comes in spasms.
According to studies, at least 65% of people with lung cancer have a nagging cough by the time they’re diagnosed. Blood in your sputum can also be a warning sign of lung cancer. For the unversed, sputum, also known as phlegm, is a thick type of mucus made in the lungs.
Apart from these warning signs that may strike first thing in the morning, other symptoms of lung cancer include: Chest infections that keep coming back, coughing up blood, ache or pain when breathing or coughing, persistent breathlessness, persistent tiredness, loss of appetite or unexplained weight loss, fingers becoming more curved or their ends becoming larger (finger clubbing), pain when swallowing, wheezing, hoarse voice, swelling of your face or neck, persistent chest or shoulder pain

Online investment
Today, trading apps are in trend among people. They are investing by watching ads of newly launched apps on social media. Looking at the incentive of high profit, they always skip checking the credibility and risks of these apps. They start investing high after their successful initial investment profits.
When the investment reaches millions to billions, the apps stop working. The chances of being scammed are low if these apps are legally incorporated. The proper information should be gained before investing in such platforms by searching SECP for the legality of such platforms.

Storage facilities
I am writing to draw attention to a matter of great concern for our farming community. It’s the unfortunate reality that our farmers are unable to store their agricultural products after harvesting, leading to a significant amount of wastage and losses. This is an issue that deserves immediate attention of our policymakers.
It’s disheartening to know that despite our nation’s increasing agricultural productivity, our farmers still face the challenge of inadequate storage facilities. The inability to store their produce puts them at a disadvantage in the market, where they’re forced to sell their products at lower prices immediately after harvesting. Consequently, a lot of edible food goes to waste due to the lack of proper storage.
This problem disproportionately affects rural areas, where the majority of our farmers are located. The farmers need access to better storage facilities and equipment to improve their livelihood and preserve their produce’s quality for longer periods. It is, therefore, imperative for our government and other stakeholders to work towards providing adequate storage facilities to farmers, offering subsidies to enable them to purchase storage equipment and encouraging private sector investment in the infrastructure for storage in rural areas.

Bike thieveries
It is an undeniable fact that the law and order situation of our beloved Pakistan is in complete dismal condition owing to lethargic and unprofessional negligence of LEAs. Each day, citizens of Pakistan face multiple challenges of robberies, dacoitis and thefts. Recently, some gangs of thieves have been ultra-active in their criminal practices of bike-stealing in the city of Hyderabad. More than two dozen motorcycles have been stolen from Civil Hospital Hyderabad within ten days. Police and other law enforcement agencies have not been looking after the public and their property properly and honestly.
On 11 April 2023, some of my relatives went to civil hospital. Within minutes their bike was stolen. The thieves weee clearly seen in CCTV photage. Yet, police say that the stolen bike might not be recovered as it all depends on luck. I asked them, then why such a burden of your salaries is placed on the government treasury?
More than 190 CCTV cameras are installed inside the civil hospital Hyderabad. The CCTV room incharge said that it is a daily routine of criminals to steal four to five new bikes from the vicinity of hospital. Upon listening to this, I thought what a nuclear State Pakistan is!
Even illiterate and common thieves beat such a large institution of only Islamic nuclear weapon state. The criminal practices in Hyderabad inarguably speak volumes about the professionalism of Sindh Police, especially of Hyderabad Police. DIG Pir Muhammad Shah and SSP Amjad Ali Sheikh of Hyderabad are requested to look after the public grievances, and try to make police professional in dealing such crimes.

Unfair transport fares
I am writing to express my concern about the practice of local transport providers overcharging customers during major festivities like Eid. Not only is this unethical, but it also violates the law. Despite this, it continues every year because the authorities don’t take any concrete action. Passengers are consequently forced to pay heavy fares which significantly put a strain on their budget. I implore the government and the appropriate authorities to act right away to put an end to this illegal behaviour. This might entail clearly marked prices at bus and wagon stops and the presence of traffic officials at toll plazas to oversee payments. By doing these things, we can make sure that passengers are treated fairly and that transport providers are held accountable for their deeds.
