Ulema’s role sought for religious harmony

DPO Rana Shoaib Mehmood has emphasised upon the religious scholars to play their vital role in maintaining religious harmony across the Attock district.

He said this while chairing meeting of Distt Peace Committee which was held in connection with arrangements for the forth coming Muharram ul Haram.

The meeting was attended by religious scholars belonging to different sects. DPO said that Islam gives message of peace, love and brotherhood and unity and this message must be promoted from the platform of all mosques and imambargahs, and role must be played to shun sectarianism, hatred, extremism and terrorism.

Meanwhile District Convenor and MNA Major (R) Tahir Sadiq has said that he would take the issue of MEAs (Monitoring and Evaluation Assistants) at appropriate level with Punjab Govt for the regularization of their contract service and said that in this context a letter has already been sent to Chief Secretary Punjab.He was talking to the office bearers of PMA (Punjab Monitoring Association) Attock.
