Following the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan of a ‘Green & Clean Pakistan,’ Insaf Sports & Culture Wing (ISCW) organized on Thursday a tree plantation ceremony at the Islamabad Gymkhana (Marghzar Cricket Ground) Saidpur Village F-6.
More than 50 saplings were planted on the occasion.
The tree plantation ceremony was participated by the members of the ISCW, workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and volunteers in large numbers.
President of the PTI Islamabad Region, Fareed Rehman was the chief guest while among those who attended the ceremony and spoke on the occasion included President of ISCW Haider Shah, General Secretary Jalal Haider, Central Deputy Secretary General of ISCW Shumaila Siddiqui, Finance Secretary Samra Athar Kakakhel and Akbar Bangash.
Fareed Rehman said it was the collective responsibility of the people, particularly the youth to plant trees and make Pakistan green and save its climate from the effects of global warming.
Today, Pakistan is among the 8th worst-hit countries by climate changes across the world and it goes to the sole credit of Prime Minister Imran Khan who is also chairman of the PTI who has realized this looming threat and initiated billions of trees tsunami to counter these challenges, said Fareed Rehman. Speaking on the occasion, Jalal Haider said today the entire world is recognizing Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of a pollution-free environment by planting a maximum number of trees. “We are here for one purpose, green and pure environment following the footsteps of Imran Khan in the recent plantation drive,” said he adding, “we would make sure children and youth at grass root level also participate in this noble cause.”
