Provincial Minister for Local Government, Punjab, Zeshan Rafique has said that ‘Suthra’ Punjab Campaign of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif is historic and people welfare campaign for ensuring cleanliness in urban and rural areas of the province and this campaign will be made successful still March, 31.
While inaugurating cleanliness campaign at Model Village KotSani under ‘Suthra’ Punjab Camping near Hafizabad, on Saturday. Chairperson Chief Minister’s Special Imitative Committee, Saira Afzal Tarar, Deputy Commissioner Sundas Irshad, MPAs Mian Shahid Hussain Bhatti, MianAounJhangir Bhatti and officers of local government were also present on the occasion.
Provincial Minister Zeshan Rafique directed the officers of district administration, local government to prepare schedule and ensure cleanliness under comprehensive plan. He also directed the officers to inspect cleanliness campaign to visit Rural and Urban areas for making the campaign result-oriented.
Minister also visited Ramazan Bazar, fair price shops, utility store setup at model bazar and reviewed prices, quality of essential commodities and other arrangements. He also checked process and record of distribution of ration at door steps of the poor under ‘Negheban’ Ramzan Package and took feedback form beneficiaries.
Earlier, DC Sundas Irshad informed the Minister in a meeting held to review progress on ‘Suthra’ Punjab Camping that with launching the campaign in the district Hafizabad, improvement in cleanliness in the great extant was witnessed and special teams consisting of citizens were constituted for making the campaign successful.
She also apprised that new machinery was provided to district council with the cost of Rs. 35 million.
