Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Senator Sirajul Haq raising concern over the warning of the WHO about the rapid spread of Covid-19 in the country, has said the non-serious attitude of the government is main reason behind the massive daily increase in the number of cases. In a statement issued from Mansoora on Wednesday, he said the situation would have been remained under control, had the PTI government adopted responsible attitude soon after the outbreak of cronavirus. Global health body ranked Pakistan among the top 10 countries in the world reporting the highest numbers of cases of Covid-19, and amid the situation the major hospital across the country were running out of capacity, he added. The JI Chief particularly expressed unease over the situation in Karachi and Lahore where situation went almost out of control with almost no bed available to the new patients. –INP
