Staff Reporter Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharmila Farooqi has been elected to Sindh Assembly on a reserved seat for women. The Election Commission of Pakistan issued the notification of her election on Wednesday. It is pertinent to mention that the seat had fallen vacant after murder of PPP leader Shahnaz Ansari in Naushehro Feroze a few days ago. Sharmila is an active member of Pakistan People’s Party and has also served as an adviser to theChief Minister of Sindh from September 2008 till January 31, 2011.
