In a high-level meeting at the Commissioner Karachi Office, Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon announced the formation of a committee to address the losses suffered by transporters during recent violent incidents.

Joined by Chief Secretary Syed Asif Haider Shah, Transport Secretary Asad Zamin, and Commissioner Sayed Hassan Naqvi, Memon expressed grief over the killing of four drivers and condemned the torching of vehicles as acts of terrorism.

“These are not protests; these are crimes,” Memon told reporters, vowing that the government will pursue charges under anti-terrorism laws.

He emphasized that those identified through CCTV footage would face strict legal action and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting public infrastructure and restoring order.

The newly formed committee is expected to submit its recommendations within ten days.
