Shaban moon update in Pakistan

Shaban was expected to start in Pakistan from February 10 however the moon of eights Islamic month has not been sighted.

As people were looking to welcome the month before Ramadan, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced that the Shaban moon has not been sighted anywhere in the entire country.

In light of the announcement by top moon sighting body, Ministry of Religious Affairs issued notification to inform the public of the official decision.

Shaban Moon in Pakistan

Ruet announced that Shaban 1 1445 Hijri will fall on February 12 (Mon), and Shab-e-Barat will be observed on February 26.

When is Shab e Barat 2024 in Pakistan?

Shab-e-Barat would be observed on Feb 12 2024 (Monday).

Muslims observe Shab e Barat every year. The night known as The Night of Fortune and Forgiveness comes in the run-up to the start of the Holy month of Ramadan. The night is known for religious spirit as the faithful offered nawafil in mosques, making special prayers for unity, prosperity, security, and restoration of peace in the country and the prosperity and unity of the entire Muslim Ummah.

Some traditions call it the night of blessings and accountability when Almighty Allah makes mass judgments regarding the next year’s lives, deaths, bestowments, and blessings.
