Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah emphasized the significance of scientific education and the provincial government’s commitment to promoting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education in schools.
During his address at the closing ceremony of the STEAM exhibition at The Academy in North Nazimabad, he unveiled the government’s ongoing efforts to nurture the creative and scientific potential of students across Sindh. The event, organized under the Directorate of Private Schools, showcased over 400 scientific and artistic models from more than 100 private schools in Karachi.
In attendance were Rasool Bux Shah, Executive Director of the Sindh Teachers Education Development Authority, Additional Director Rafia Mallah, Director General Muhammad Afzal, as well as students, parents, and school administrators. Minister Shah praised the students’ impressive exhibits, highlighting their talent despite limited resources.
Syed Sardar Ali Shah emphasized that fostering scientific and artistic creativity in the students was crucial for their future success in a rapidly advancing global landscape.
“In this era of scientific advancements, it is our responsibility to nurture the skills of our children so they can compete on a global level,” he stated. He also outlined ongoing government initiatives aimed at improving science education, including upgrading science laboratories in schools across the province.
The event concluded with the presentation of shields and cash prizes to students who had displayed exceptional performances, celebrated their achievements and encouraged further academic exploration.
