In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders paying glowing tributes to prominent mujahid commander, Riyaz Naikoo, and his associate, Adil Ahmad, on their 2nd martyrdom anniversary have said that the reign of oppression unleashed by India in the territory will end one day.
The leaders said that Naikoo and Adil sacrificed their lives for the sacred cause. They said that the sacred blood of the Kashmiri martyrs would not go waste and the day was not far away when the Indian oppression in IIOJK would come to an end.
The Hurriyat leaders underscored that the martyrs were the torch bearers of Kashmir freedom struggle and they have nourished it with their blood. They said that the Kashmiri people would never forget the sacrifices of their youth and accomplish their mission at all costs.
The APHC leaders said that the Kashmiris were paying the cost of the unresolved Kashmir dispute for the past over seven decades. “Over 96,000 Kashmiris have been martyred since 1989 alone. More than 8,000 have been subjected to custodial disappearance. Thousands others have been lodged in jails to punish them for their affiliation with the ongoing freedom movement,” they said.
The leaders said that Indian rulers had been subjecting the people of IIOJK to the worst kind of state terrorism for the last over seven decades and these brutalities increased manifold since Narendra Modi-led fascist Bharatiya Janata Party came into power in India in 2014. They added that the Indian barbarism witnessed an increase of dangerous proportion since August 05, 2019.
The leaders urged the world community to hold India accountable for its brutalities in IIOJK and force it to give the Kashmiri people their right to self-determination.—KMS
