Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority Tariq Mehmood Murtaza has said that business friendly activities of RDA in line vision of Prime Minister and Chief Minister Punjab, the RDA has seen high performance on Ease of Doing Business by reducing commercialization fee from 20% to 10% under Land Use Rules 2021.
According to the reforms, RDA is now approving domestic and commercial maps in just 30 days, changing land use in 45 days and private housing schemes in 75 days.
Addressing a meeting held here on Monday about Ease of Doing Business and RDA Performance, Tariq Mehmood Murtaza said that the construction industry has grown 10 times in the last three years.
An online facility has been provided in One Window Operation Center RDA for the general public. The maps have been approved for construction of 132 commercial and 975 residential buildings in year 2020-21.
He further stated that RDA has set a time frame for issuance of No Objection Certificate (NOC) and approval of building plans / maps with a view to facilitate construction activities and facilitate builders and developers.
He said that due to the business friendly initiatives of RDA, construction activities are accelerating and the revenue of the organization has increased manifold.
Talking about the approval of maps, Tariq Mehmood said that the system of approval of maps has been simplified.
The construction package is a reflection of the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan; the obstacles to its success have been removed. He said problems will also be resolved very soon.
