Razak reveals new export targets for next three years

Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak has said that new trade markets are being explored across the world to achieve the 26 billion dollars export target in the next three years.
The Commerce Adviser said that in order to boost exports, the government has included trade variation, regional trade integration through Gwadar Port and exploring new markets in Africa, North and South America, and enhancing the production of engineering goods in the main agenda.
The Adviser said regional trade and economic integration would play a huge role in enhancing connectivity with the Central Asian States and Afghanistan. He said another major focus of the government is on expanding the role of the digital economy and connecting with the international market, to increase exports and create new employment opportunities for youth.
Earlier this month, Abdul Razak Dawood had congratulated Pakistani exporters for achieving a 7.2 percent increase in exports during the month of November 2020 as compared to the same period last year.
On a social media website, Dawood mentioned that Pakistan’s exports have crossed the US$ 2 billion per month mark today. The absolute value of Pakistan’s exports has increased to US$2.156 billion in November 2020 as compared to US$ 2.011 billion in the same month last year.
