KABUL – Afghanistan cricket team’s star all-rounder Rashid Khan overcame fitness issues and will lead the team in a series of three Twenty20 matches against Ireland.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced a 15-member squad for the series against Ireland, marking the return of leg-spinner Rashid Khan to the team after recovering from injury.
Leg-spinner Rashid Khan is part of the 15-member Afghan squad against Ireland, and he will lead the team in the series against Ireland.
Rashid Khan was suffering from back pain and undergoing rehabilitation; after recovering, he has been included in the Afghanistan cricket team. It should be noted that Rashid Khan was unable to represent Lahore Qalandars in season 9 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to fitness issues.
The first match of the series of three Twenty20 matches between Afghanistan and Ireland will be played tomorrow (Friday) in Sharjah. According to local Sharjah time, the match will start at 8 pm and will be played under floodlights.
