LAHORE – The Punjab Green Tractor Scheme 2024 for farmers is all set enter the implementation phase when the tractors will be provided to the selected applicants.
Earlier this year after coming into power following the Feb 8 elections, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved the “CM Punjab Green Tractor Scheme” for farmers across the province as part of the measures being taken by the provincial government to facilitate the growers.
The approval had been granted in a meeting chaired by Maryam Nawaz and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif. During the meeting, a detailed briefing had also been given on the Kissan Package.
In latest development, the chief minister has given go ahead to execute the programme uderr which 9,500 tractors will be distributed among the farmers. Each tractor will come with a subsidy of Rs1 million for landowners with up to 50 acres.
Green Tractor Scheme Launch Date
The scheme is set to start on September 20 in Punjab, it was decided in the cabinet meeting chaired by the chief minister.
Punjab Green Tractor Scheme Draw Date
The government will hold a draw to select the winners of the Green Tractor Scheme on October 20.
The Chief Minister expressed a desire to provide 30,000 tractors to Punjab’s farmers.
In addition, she approved the Chief Minister Children’s Heart Surgery Program, which aims to expedite the completion of 12,000 pending heart surgeries and invited international surgeons to assist.
