Provincial Tourism and Culture Minister Syed Zulfiqar Shah has said public-private partnership is very crucial to deal with natural calamities and ensuing rehabilitation drive to rebuild the nation.He was speaking at a ceremony organized by Muslim Aid in a local hotel recently regarding the completion of construction of houses for flood victims in Sanghar and Mirpur Khas districts of Sindh.
The provincial minister further said that Muslim Aid played an important role in the construction of houses for the flood victims in Sindh as well as providing medicines and rations which is commendable.
He extended his full support to Muslim Aid for charitable activities in the province. Head of Operations Asif Chishti said that 257 one-unit houses have been constructed so far for the flood victims in Mirpur Khas and Sanghar, while one house has cost one million rupees. In addition to houses, 20 solar water plants have been installed in Umarkot and Mirpur Khas to provide clean drinking water to the local population.Country Director of Muslim Aid Pakistan Dr. Asif Malik and others were also present on this occasion.
