The 57th Foundation Day rally of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will now be held at Railway Ground near Kala Pul, instead of the previously planned venue at Nishtar Park, Sindh Minister for Local Government and PPP Karachi Division President, Saeed Ghani, announced on Thursday.

The rally, scheduled for November 30. Ghani explained that the change of location was due to unavoidable reasons. During a visit to the new venue, Ghani was accompanied by PPP Sindh General Secretary and Special Assistant to the CM, Waqar Mehdi, Karachi Division General Secretary and South District President Javed Nagori, District East President Iqbal Sandh, Town Chairmen Farhan Ghani and Rashid Khashekhili, District South’s Timur Sial and Sarwar Ghazi, and other party members. Ghani reviewed ongoing preparations for the rally and consulted on stage setup and other arrangements. He stated, “The rally will now be held at Railway Ground, and preparations are underway to ensure it will be a grand event.” He confirmed that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address the rally via video link. Ghani also reiterated that PPP is the only political party in the country that has consistently served the public, regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity, over the past 57 years.

Saying that the party’s struggle for democracy and people’s rights continues, Syed Waqar Mehdi, General Secretary of PPP Sindh, remarked that from the founding leader, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, PPP leaders have laid down their lives for the restoration of democracy in Pakistan. “Today, the democracy we enjoy and the freedom of expression we have are the result of PPP’s sacrifices,” he added. Javed Nagori, General Secretary of PPP Karachi Division, called the upcoming event a historic one.
