Lahore: Special Assistant to Prime Minister Attaullah Tarar’s house was raided by Punjab Police in Lahore in the early hours of Saturday.

However, at the time of the raid, Attaullah Tarar was not present at the house.

In a tweet, Tarar reacted to the raid and asked Punjab Home Minister Hashim Dogar what did he want to prove by sending police to a house where Tarar no longer lived.

He advised Hashim Dogar to refrain from going to the extreme in defence of “anti-state narratives”.

In a statement, Punjab Home Minister Hashim Dogar asked Attaullah Tarar to present himself before the police, adding that law was awaiting him.

In a separate tweet, the home minister earlier said that the Lahore Police had started the punishment process in connection with the incidents of May 25.

“As per the order of the Punjab Chief Minister, I have asked for progress reports in the rest of the districts as well,” Home Minister Hashim Dogar warned.
