PITHAM hosts 6th annual convention

Pakistan Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (PITHAM) hosted its 6th yearly convention led by caretaker provincial minister for Tourism, Environment, Climate Change & Coastal Development, ArshadWali Muhammad. Event took place at PITHAM’s premises and witnessed the presence of Chief Minister Sindh, Justice (Retd) MaqboolBaqar and Governor Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori.

The convention commenced with an official visit to PITHAM by Chief Minister Sindh and Governor Sindh, emphasizing the government’s commitment to fostering excellence in the tourism and hospitality sector. The esteemed guests donned ceremonial gowns, setting the tone for an eventful day.Director PITHAM welcomed the attendees, providing an insightful introduction to PITHAM and its contributions to the industry.

The minister, ArshadWali Muhammad in a compelling speech, highlighted the crucial role of the institute in shaping the future of tourism and hotel management in the region. Chief Minister Sindh and Governor Sindh graced the occasion with inspirational speeches, underlining the significance of the tourism sector in the economic landscape of the province. As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to Governor Sindh and Chief Minister Sindh.

The event also featured the distribution of medals to position holders, certificates to Deaf & Dumb students from Navy School, and certificates to junior chefs. Chief Minister Sindh and Governor Sindh personally awarded these accolades, recognizing and encouraging excellence in various fields.Shields were bestowed upon the dedicated faculty and staff of PITHAM, acknowledging their tireless efforts in nurturing the talents of the students.
