The loss-making state entity, Pakistan International Airlines, has started looking for its new Chief Executive Officer after its outgoing head refuses to accept an extension in his tenure.
Sources informed on Sunday that in a meeting of PIA’s board of directors it was decided that the outgoing CEO Arshad Malik would be granted an extension in his tenure. But when Mr Malik was offered extension, he declined to accept it.
Sources informed that Mr Malik’s three-year tenure as PIA CEO is going to be expired on April 25.
After his refusal, the PIA has started looking for new CEO as it has advertised the soon-to-be-vacant post.
