Pakistan Football Club organized a futsal match between girls’ teams from LUMS and LSE, at Garrison Sports Arena, Lahore. The 30 minutes of exciting futsal ended with the team from LUMS as the winners. However, the students from both the prestigious institutions of Lahore, thoroughly enjoyed their time on the pitch.
The match was organized by Pakistan Football Club which has been launched with an objective of promoting the culture of sports in general and football in particular across the country.
The club is the brainchild of a successful entrepreneur Burair Nazir who aspires ‘to support football talent by providing state-of-the-art training, coaching and grooming facilities, with a particular focus on female talent and children from underprivileged segments of society.’
The chief guest of the match, Chairperson Punjab Women’s Protection Authority Fatima Chadhar lauded the effort of Pakistan Football Club for organizing their first between girls’ futsal team. She termed the event a step in the right direction for women empowerment through healthy sports activities.
GM 2F2F & Garrison Sports Arena Mehboob Afridi thanked Pakistan Football Club and its president Burair Nazir for taking the initiative and expressed his best wishes for its success.
All the participants of the match enjoyed their game and received certificates of appreciation from President Pakistan Football Club, Burair Nazir. The guests and the players were served hi-tea after the event.
