LAHORE – Moderate rains with snowfall over the hills are predicted in upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday evening/night and Sunday.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave will likely affect upper parts of Pakistan from Saturday.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is predicted in Peshawar and most parts of the province and extremely cold in northern districts on Friday night.
On Saturday and Sunday, cloudy weather is predicted in Peshawar and most parts of the province. However, moderate rain-wind/thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is predicted in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Buner, Shangla, Mansehra, Battagram, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai and Kurram.
Peshawar’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 02-04°C on Saturday and 01-03°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and extremely cold in upper districts during the last 24 hours.
Kalam remained the coldest place in the province where the temperature dropped 05°C below the freezing point.
In Peshawar, minimum temperature was recorded at 03°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 31 per cent.
