In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairperson of Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen, Zamrooda Habib has stressed peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
Zamrooda Habib in a statement issued in Srinagar on the eve of International Day of Peace said the day has more importance and relevance presently when the situation is grim and grave as war has been imposed on the people of Kashmir.
She said, war is no solution to any problem but is itself a big problem, which brings poverty, devastation and destruction to human lives and natural resources.
She added that peaceful measures were the only solution to the lingering dispute.
“If the doors of peaceful dialogue are open for China what is the harm to talk to Pakistan.
We as the Kashmiris don’t want war, but peace, prosperity and freedom which should be respected,” she added.
Zamrooda Habib said human losses are going on in the territory and killings of innocent women and children on the both the sides of Line of Control are the result of denial and non acceptance of peaceful means by the Indian government to resolve the dispute.
Zamrooda Habib appealed to all the stakeholders to make sincere and honest efforts for peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute, the most sensitive issue related not only to natural resources but importantly to the precious human lives.—KMS
