LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely to appoint Naveed Akram Cheema as the manager of the Pakistan cricket team, the sources close to the development said on Tuesday.
The sources said that Naveed Akram Cheema was also the manager of the national team during the tour of Australia and New Zealand.
He has previously served as the manager of the Pakistan cricket team as well.
The sources also said that during the T20 World Cup, Wahab Riaz was the senior manager while Mansoor Rana held the position of manager.
After the team’s poor performance in the World Cup, both were relieved of their duties.
An official announcement from PCB regarding new appointments in the team management is expected in a few days.
