PARIS – In the Paris Olympics, United States of America is leading the points table with seventy-nine medals, including twenty-one gold medals.

China is at second place with fifty-three medals, including twenty-one gold medals while France stands on third place with forty-eight medals including thirteen gold medals.

Earlier,  China was leading medal table with twenty-one gold medals.

United States of America was at second place with twenty gold medals followed by Australia with thirteen gold medals.

The Paris Olympics management has set tough rules for the players as they could not go out of the Olympic village.

Paraguayan swimmer Luana Alonso has been expelled from the Olympic Village following allegations of creating an “inappropriate environment”.

The Paris Olympics Committee removed Alonso from the village after she was found to be in breach of the Games’ regulations.

The reports suggested that after competing in the semi-finals of the 100-meter butterfly race on July 27, Alonso left the Olympic Village to visit Disneyland Paris. This action was deemed a violation of the rules.

The Olympic Committee said that Alonso’s actions contributed to an inappropriate atmosphere within the Olympic Village.

In response, Larisa Scherer, head of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, confirmed that Alonso’s presence was affecting the team negatively.

Following her removal, the 20-year-old swimmer announced her retirement from the sport on Instagram. She expressed gratitude to her supporters and issued an apology to Paraguay.

“I am retiring from swimming. Thank you very much to all my fans for their support! I’m sorry, Paraguay; I just want to thank you,” she wrote.
