Pakistan extends Eid ul Azha holidays

KARACHI – The federal government has extended the two-day holiday, it had announced on the occasion of Eidul Azha by a day.

Days after announcing two holidays on the Feast of Sacrifice, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government has decided to extend holidays from June 28 (Wednesday).

As per the previous order, the offices that are observing five days working a week will avail Eid holidays from June 29 and June 30 (Thursday and Friday), and the offices that are working 6 days a week will enjoy the holidays from June 29 to 1 July.

Eid ul Azha is set to be celebrated across Pakistan on June 29 Thursday. Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Monday that one of two major Islamic festivals will fall on Thursday this year.
