Pakistan Army chief urges youth not to fall prey to social media propaganda

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff urged youth not to fall prey to propaganda online that promotes despondency.

COAS shared his views at the Pakistan National Youth Conference in the federal capital on Wednesday, and he opined that nations cannot progress without a ‘positive approach’.

The top general lamented despair on social media and suggested people check information on social media before it is believed.

COAS said the army can fight militants but the whole nation would have to work together to end the menace.

He called it a proud moment to address the country’s future generation which he termed Shaheens. He mentioned that key purpose of Pakistan’s creation was that differences with religion, culture and civilization from Hindus in all respects and not for us to adopt Western civilization and culture.

The top general then called the youth as guardians of bright traditions of Pakistan.

COAS said Allah Almighty blessed Pakistan with abundant mineral resources, agriculture and young manpower.

During his speech, students also chanted slogans of Pakistan Army Zindabad, Pakistan Zindabad and Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad, a press shared by ISPR said.
