ISLAMBAD – Pakistsni government on Wednesday notified public holidays for 2024.
Following are public and optional holidays for Muslim and minorities festival in Pakistan for 2024.
Public holidays 2024
A notification shared by Cabinet Division said there will be 11 public holidays in 2024.
- Kashmir Day , February 5
- Pakistan Day, March 23
- Eid-ul-Fitr, April 10, 11, 12
- Labour Day, May 1
- Eid-ul-Azha, June 17, 18, 19
- Ashura (9th,10 Muharram) July 16, 17
- Independence Day August 14
- Eid-Milad-un-Nabi September 16
- Allama Iqbal Day, November 9
- Quaid-e-Azam Day/Christmas Monday, December 25
- Day after Christmas Tuesday, December 26 (Only for Christians)
The notification further said in case of Muslim festivals, the dates of holidays are based on anticipated dates and are subject to the appearance of moon for which a separate notification will be issued by the Cabinet Division.
