The Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) has organized the week-long Allama Iqbal’s Birth Anniversary celebrations and photo exhibition starting on the great poet’s 144th birth anniversary (born: Nov 9, 1877) on Tuesday (today).

The celebrations will start at the Aiwan-e-Quaid Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9 Park), at 10:00 a.m. A picture exhibition comprising exhibition of portraits on Iqbal’s poetic kalam by noted artist Aslam Kamal and some rare paintings and pictures depicting various phases of Allama Iqbal’s life will be the highlight of the inaugural day.

On Nov 11 (Thursday) a declamation contest will be organized among the students of the private schools with cooperation of the Private Schools Network.

The title of the speech contest will be ‘Apni Dunya Aap Paida Kar Agar Zindo Main Hay.’ On Nov 12 (Friday), Prof Dr Najeeba Arif will deliver a thought-provoking lecture on ‘Fikr-e-Iqbal ki Tafheem’ at the Zahid Malik Auditorium.
