In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India’s notorious National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Kashmiri journalist Irfan Meraj for questioning in bogus cases registered in New Delhi.
The freelance journalist was arrested in Srinagar by a special team of NIA from New Delhi.
Official confirmed the arrest and said he has been arrested for investigation by NIA in case registered at NIA Delhi.
They claimed “credible information was received by the Indian Government that certain NGOs, Trusts and Societies, registered as well as unregistered, are collecting funds domestically and abroad through donations, business contributions etc. in the name of charity and various welfare activities such as public health, education etc.”
India’s dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed the first supplementary chargesheet against an ille-gally detained Kashmiri youth in a false case registered against him.
The NIA filed chargesheet against the youth Muhammad Rafi Najar of Sopore area of Baramulla in the false case. The NIA had earlier dubbed him as an over-ground worker of a mujahid organization to justify his illegal detention.
Muhammad Rafi Najar is a dealer in handicrafts and was based in Pokhra city of Nepal.
The NIA also attached the property of a freedom activist, Bashir Ahmed Peer, on 4th March, 2023, in the same case registered under draconian law, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).—KMS
