LAHORE – The Punjab Traffic Police have extended the operating hours for driving license centers in major cities to facilitate citizens amid ongoing crackdown against those driving vehicles without license.
According to the new schedule, centers in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Multan, and Sialkot will remain open 24 hours a day.
Meanwhile, centers in smaller cities will operate from 8 am to 12 am
A spokesperson for the Traffic Police clarified that applicants must first obtain a learner’s permit, which can be acquired either online or at the nearest licensing center.
After this, applicants can apply for a regular driving license. Once the driving test is passed, applicants will receive an e-driving license immediately, which holds the same legal status as the traditional card license.
The Punjab Traffic Police has urged citizens to ensure that they carry a valid and legal driving license while driving, stressing that the extended hours will provide greater convenience and reduce crowding at centers.

Click the e-license option
Add your CNIC number and date of birth.
Click the download button and you will get the PDF copy of the license.
Car Driving License Fee
The Punjab traffic police receives Rs150 in wake of test fee while the applicant further pays Rs1,350 after passing the test. The courier fee stands at Rs480, taking the total cost for car driving license with one-year validity to Rs1,830 in Punjab.
Candidates can make regular license for the period of up to five years with different fee schedule.
