LAHORE – For thousands of property owners across Punjab, getting land documents is about to become more expensive as the provincial government introduced revised fee structure for key land record services, including Fard, Mutation, Registry, and other property-related documents, with the new charges taking effect immediately across the province.
According to latest notification, the new rates have been enforced across all Land Record Centers, land record offices, and related service centers throughout the province. Citizens seeking land-related services will now be required to pay the updated government-approved fees. Under revised schedule, obtaining an express copy of a Fard, Mutation, or Girdawari will now cost Rs. 4,000, while a regular copy of the same documents has been fixed at Rs. 900.
The government also introduced new charges for several other key services. The Green Property Certificate will now cost Rs. 800, a copy of the land record will be available for Rs. 5,000, while a certified copy of a Registered Deed has been priced at Rs. 1,400. Officials confirmed that the revised fee structure has taken effect immediately and directed all Land Record Centers and relevant offices to provide services strictly according to the new rates.
Punjab government said the fee revision comes as part of broader efforts to modernize the province’s land administration system. Authorities are continuing work on reforms aimed at improving efficiency and transparency through the computerization of land records, online verification, e-registration, e-stamping, and other digital services.
While the updated fee schedule is expected to provide citizens with greater clarity regarding the cost of land-related services, concerns have emerged over the increased financial burden on property owners. Many stakeholders have urged the government to ensure that higher charges are matched with improved service quality, faster processing, greater transparency, and timely delivery.
Authorities also advised citizens to get land record services only through official Land Record Centers and authorized government offices, and to pay only the prescribed government fees to avoid fraud, unauthorized overcharging, or scams.
