Sindh Energy and Planning Minister Syed NasirHussain Shah and Sindh Local Government Minister SaeedGhani chaired a crucial meeting with officials from K-Electric, HESCO, and SEPCO. The meeting also included Sindh Energy Secretary Musadiq Ahmed and other senior officials from the three electricity providers.

The ministers expressed serious concerns over the increased load shedding across Sindh, especially during the scorching summer months, which has caused significant hardships for the public. They emphasized that K-Electric, HESCO, and SEPCO must not conduct load shedding during sleeping hours, from 10 PM to 6 AM. Syed NasirHussain Shah stressed the need for a system that ensures no load shedding during these critical hours. Additionally, SaeedGhani assured that the Sindh government would soon clear its outstanding payments to K-Electric and the other companies.

The ministers urged HESCO and SEPCO to expedite the installation of government-approved AMR meters and reconcile bills to ensure timely payments. They highlighted how prolonged load shedding has severely disrupted daily life across Sindh. SaeedGhani called for legal action against those involved in electricity theft, emphasizing that law-abiding citizens should not suffer due to the actions of a few.

He also pointed out the critical importance of human life during extreme weather conditions, criticizing the 12 to 16-hour load shedding that has made life unbearable for many residents.
