City Commissioner Sohail Rajput, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner and Administrator Central District Dr Muhammad BakhshDharejo, visited various areas of Central District, including North Nazimabad, on Monday. Municipal Commissioner Additional Commissioner Central District Samira Hussain and other senior officials were also present on the occasion. The Commissioner inspected the road laying work, including sewerage and garbage cleaning process. While appreciating the steps taken for sanitation in Central District, Rajput said that Dr. Dharejo’s special attention was paying the dividend and delayed projects have been resumed. “District Central has been included in the list of clean and transparent districts.” He further said that despite limited resources, Dr. Dharejo, as soon as he assumed the post of Administrator Central, in just a few days picked up thousands of tons of garbage from different areas of Central District and focused on providing clean and transparent environment to the people. “He has set an example for improvement.” On this occasion, residents of different blocks of North Nazimabad informed the Commissioner Karachi and Deputy Commissioner about their problems while the residents of North Nazimabad appreciated the steps taken by the Deputy Commissioner and Administrator Central District to resolve the problems. Sohail Rajput said that Raja Dharejo has immediately mobilized the administration and DMC machinery after taking charge. The caretakers of North Nazimabad Residents Committee SM Shakeel and Farhan Abbas and other members apprised the commissioner of the problems of North Nazimabad and said that the residents committee is always ready to restore the old identity of North Nazimabad.“The administration and people are working together to solve the problems faced by the area.”
