Modern feminism
THE roots of feminist movement traces back to the early 19th Century when women in the West collectively decided to take a stand for their basic rights. Voting and owning property were chief among them.
The ideology, however, goes even further back where different women at different times, at different places challenged the well-established and well-rooted male dominance beliefs and advocated for more balanced societies.
Even though today’s feminism has evolved into a handful of overly angry women shouting and hurling insults at all men, some even opted for far more aggressive stance, enchanting death to all men which is reminiscent of ‘death to all Arabs’ in many ways, ironically is in contradiction of the philosophy of original feminism.
The agenda of the originators was not to spread male animosity but the elevation of both males and females by injecting tolerance, respect and harmony.
Therefore, where the early movement paved the way for all women around the world to excel in different walks of life, while remaining faithful towards their domestic duties, modern feminism on the other hand back flipped on all of the original ideas and concepts and made the movement solely anti-men.
Currently, modern feminism projects its affinity for its loud and irrational man hating concept. Hashtags such as ‘kill all men’ and ‘we hate men’ capture the mindset of the bearers of this movement effectively.
Such unapologetic and unabashed resentment towards all men despite the fact if they are guilty or not has created an insurmountable peak of hate, a pit so wide that it doesn’t seem to be bridged. Not unless we crank down the tone by a good measure.
The current Western world unable to bear such extreme political beliefs is in a shambles. Many social and behavioural experts including women therefore blame such beliefs as the reason that women are less content in both their personal and professional lives.
Insisting that there is absolutely no difference between the roles and responsibilities of the two opposite genders has made women even further vulnerable and prone to psychologically induced inferiority complex.
The constant struggle in proving themselves equal to men even superior by some in all walks of life has an effect on their natural ability of compassion, warmth and unequivocal love.
Such delirious beliefs have not only impeded the natural flow of family life but also ensured the disintegration of social hierarchy.
Men who were believed and hailed as guardians and leaders of the houses are unconsciously stepping down from the role.
No house can be called home unless there is a clear distinction between the roles and responsibilities of male and female as a father and mother.
So, women especially in the West who support and advocate the idea of raising fatherless children are in actuality jeopardizing the potential of future generations.
Witnessing the ongoing decay of Western societies we must resist in becoming a part of futile but potentially dangerous ongoing war between the genders.
Unfortunately, some overzealous women (and some men) under the cover of equal rights are busy in the disfigurement of the society.
These neo-liberals are busy unravelling the fabric of the society by pitting males and females against each other for petty gains.
Instead of raising voice against the actual discriminations taking place against women, they are muddying the waters by fanning incoherent but consistent rhetoric which is not only putting the society at risk but also setting the wrong precedent for the young ones.
In order to be successful and united as a nation, it is important that we refuse to succumb to the alien concepts of modern feminism which have nothing to do with the well-being of women anyway.
