Two minor siblings, Ayaan and Anabiya, who disappeared from Karachi’s North Nazimabad area on Tuesday, have been reunited with their family. Their mother, expressing gratitude, shared the news on social media from Dubai, stating, “Shukar Alhamdulillah, both the kids are recovered.”

Revealing further details, the mother disclosed that the children were dropped off at Hyderi by the individuals who had taken them. In their initial account, Ayaan and Anabiya mentioned facing mistreatment from their “aunty and maternal grandmother.” Authorities from Pakistan Rangers Sindh intervened swiftly upon receiving information about a ransom demand of Rs1 million for the children’s release.

Employing advanced techniques, the paramilitary forces traced the kidnappers, prompting them to abandon the children in Hyderi before fleeing the scene. Prior to their safe return, the mother had appealed on social media for assistance in locating her missing children.

Ayaan, 11, and Anabiya, 12, had left their home in North Nazimabad Block H to buy a burger late Tuesday night but did not return. Rashid, their uncle, explained that the children had been under his care since their mother relocated to Dubai following a divorce. Despite exhaustive efforts by the family to locate them, they resorted to seeking police assistance after their search proved unsuccessful.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident from multiple angles with the aid of CCTV footage. A case regarding the disappearance of the children has been registered at the North Nazimabad police station against unidentified individuals.
